Virtual Panel on the FTC Magnuson-Moss Rulemaking Process

Event Description

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has authority to issue industry-wide regulations but must go through what is known as Magnuson-Moss (Mag-Moss) rulemaking, which requires significant additional steps beyond traditional rulemaking under the Administrative Procedure Act. Join the U.S. Chamber for a discussion with FTC expert, Katherine White from the law firm of Kelley Drye, on the ins-and-outs of Mag-Moss rulemaking.

New leadership at the FTC appears poised to usher in new regulations on everything from privacy, price disclosures, online reviews, subscription services, franchise and business opportunities, to earnings claims. The virtual panel will outline the process available to businesses to help shape FTC rule proposals.
